International Event “Impact of the Deterioration of the Kahovka Reservoir on the Ecology and Economies of the Northern Black Sea Region”
27 липня у м. Одеса у змішаному форматі пройшов Міжнародний захід «Вплив руйнування Каховського водосховища на екологію та економіки Північного Причорномор’я», організований Інститутом кліматично орієнтованого сільського господарства НААН.
On July 27, in Odessa, the International Event “Impact of the Deterioration of the Kahovka Reservoir on the Ecology and Economies of the Northern Black Sea Region” took place in a hybrid format, organized by the Institute of Climate-Smart Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAAS).
До заходу долучилися представники Єврокомісії, аташе посольства США, представники НААН України та науково-дослідних установ, Міністерства АПК, ФАО в Україні, представники влади, провідні фахівці, вчені експерти.
The event was attended by representatives of the European Commission, the U.S. Embassy’s Attaché, representatives from NAAS Ukraine and other scientific research institutions, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine, FAO in Ukraine, government officials, leading experts, and scientific researchers.
Учасники ділилися своїми напрацюваннями щодо наслідків руйнування водосховища на рибальство, сільське господарство, туризм, транспорт та інші галузі економіки, які залежать від ресурсів, що надаються водосховищем та щодо пошуку можливих рішень та стратегій для мінімізації негативних наслідків.
Participants shared their findings regarding the consequences of the reservoir’s deterioration on fishing, agriculture, tourism, transportation, and other sectors of the economy that rely on the resources provided by the reservoir. They also discussed possible solutions and strategies to minimize the negative impacts.
За результатами заходу будуть напрацьовані пропозиції органам влади та представникам адміністрацій регіонів, обговорено питання можливості залучення донорів, сформовано платформу для обговорення провідними науковцями різних прогностичних моделей.
The results of the event will lead to proposals for government authorities and regional administrations, discussions on the possibility of engaging donors, and the formation of a platform for leading scientists to discuss various forecasting models.
