Active research directions:
Developing of the scientific and methodological basis for the application of GIS (Geographic Information System) technologies in the cultivation of agricultural crops using satellite monitoring and yield programming for irrigated and non-irrigated conditions in the steppe zone of Ukraine.
The goal of the research is to develop the scientific and methodological basis for the application of GIS technologies in the cultivation of agricultural crops using satellite monitoring and yield programming for irrigated and non-irrigated conditions in the steppe zone of Ukraine. The implementation of the project will enable the adoption of innovative satellite monitoring methods, ensure the rational use of all types of resources, and contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic agro-industrial complex in global markets.
The following tasks will be addressed within the project:
- Conduct an analysis and synthesis of long-term experimental data and field research from scientific research institutions in the Steppe Zone of Ukraine, affiliated with the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, for the purpose of utilizing GIS technologies and satellite monitoring to optimize agrotechnologies, improve the productivity of agricultural crops, enhance the quality of plant products, and protect the environment.
- Establish demonstration sites and select objects for satellite monitoring to develop and refine GIS technologies for irrigated and non-irrigated conditions in the steppe zone of Ukraine.
- Form electronic directories of indicators of innovative cultivation technologies for the studied crops under the conditions of global climate change in the natural-climatic conditions of the Southern Steppe zone.
• Create mathematical models of production processes for major agricultural crops using satellite monitoring and GIS technologies.
Scientific justification of directions for increasing the investment attractiveness of irrigated agricultural lands to ensure sustainable development of rural territories in the irrigation zone. The goal of the research is to investigate the current state and direction of the use of irrigated agricultural lands under market land relations and scientifically substantiate the directions for increasing their investment attractiveness to address a range of issues at the state, regional, and agricultural enterprise levels of various organizational and legal forms, in order to ensure sustainable development of rural territories in the irrigation zone. To achieve the set goal, the following tasks need to be solved:
- Determine a methodological approach for conducting research, analyze the legislative and regulatory framework for investment activities, land and market relations in agriculture in the irrigation zone.
- Develop a system of criteria for investment attractiveness of irrigated agricultural lands.
- Analyze the ecological condition and economic efficiency of land resource utilization in the irrigation zone in the context of forming their investment attractiveness.
- Build a model of innovation-investment attractiveness of irrigated agricultural lands.
- Develop a mechanism for economically stimulating the rational use of irrigated agricultural lands and scientifically substantiate the directions for increasing the investment attractiveness of irrigated agricultural lands to ensure sustainable development of rural territories.
Economic justification of using innovative technological solutions in rice cultivation. The objective of this work is to develop proposals for the economic evaluation of technology components and practical recommendations for the utilization of promising solutions in rice cultivation technology for implementation in rice farms in Ukraine. The research involves conducting an economic assessment of the utilization of existing rice cultivation technology in Ukraine and, based on the analysis of global trends in the use of innovative technological solutions, provide an economic justification for the utilization of promising solutions in rice cultivation technology for implementation in rice farms in Ukraine.
