Scientific and Organizational Activity
- Chair of the Academic Council of the Institute of Climate-Smart Agriculture of NAAS and Head of the NAAS State Research Program No. 5 “Irrigated Agriculture”.
- Editor-in-Chief of the professional interagency scientific collection Irrigated Agriculture and of the scientific journal Agrarian Innovations; member of the editorial board of the scientific and practical journal Plant Varieties Studying and Protection.
- Full member of the Center for Ukrainian–European Scientific Cooperation and Head of its Kherson Regional Branch (https://cuesc.org.ua); member of the Ukrainian Society of Geneticists and Breeders named after N.I. Vavilov, the Ukrainian Society of Soil Scientists and Agrochemists, the Council of Botanical Gardens and Arboreta of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Seed Society Association.
Her research output includes more than 1,200 scientific publications, among them 110 books and 50 articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection. She directly contributed to the development of:
3 rice varieties,
- 5 winter wheat varieties,
- 3 alfalfa varieties,
- 1 white melilot variety,
- 1 tomato variety,
- 1 soybean variety,
- 13 maize hybrids and parental lines,
- 3 almond varieties.
These are characterized by high productivity, adaptability, and strong demand in agricultural production.
Under her supervision, 10 Doctors of Sciences, 17 Candidates of Sciences, and 3 PhDs successfully defended their theses.
Awards and Recognition
- By Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 500 (August 24, 2012), awarded the honorary title “Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine.”
- By decision of the Attestation Board (October 10, 2013, Protocol 7/01-П), conferred the academic title of Professor in Agricultural Reclamation.
- Elected Corresponding Member of NAAS (November 11, 2016, diploma Ch No. 0208, specialty Agronomy – Agricultural Reclamation), and Academician of NAAS (October 15, 2020, diploma A No. 0149).
- By Presidential Decree No. 71/2020 (March 6, 2020), awarded the Order of Princess Olga, 3rd Class, for significant personal contributions to the socio-economic, scientific, cultural, and educational development of Ukraine, exemplary service, and long-standing dedicated work.
- Recipient of the national honorary distinction “Scientist of the Year 2020” (Certificate No. 131, November 20, 2020).
- By Resolution of the Odesa Regional Council No. 318/2025-ОР (June 2, 2025), awarded a commemorative wristwatch for long-standing service, significant contribution to agricultural science during martial law, high professionalism, and on the occasion of her jubilee.
- By Resolution of the Mykolaiv Regional Council No. 172-р (June 18, 2025), awarded the “Cross of St. Nicholas” for outstanding contributions to agrarian science, implementation of state agricultural policy, long-standing service, and professionalism.
