Scientific and Technical Library of the Institute
The Scientific and Technical Library of the Institute of Climate-Smart Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine plays a key role in the research environment of PhD students, doctoral candidates, and professional researchers. The Library provides access to up-to-date scientific information resources, open science tools, and professional advisory services.
Access to International Scientific Resources
The Institute’s Library organizes and coordinates access to leading international bibliometric and full-text databases, including:
- Scopus and Web of Science — for bibliometric analysis, searching peer-reviewed scientific publications, citation tracking, and selecting relevant journals for publishing dissertation research results;
- Research4Life (through national and international consortia) — providing access to thousands of full-text journals and books from leading global publishers in agriculture, climate research, environmental sciences, biology, economics, and related disciplines;
- Resources provided through EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) — including collections of scholarly journals and books, analytical platforms, and tools supporting open access.
Scientometrics and Research Analytics
The Library provides advisory and analytical services in the following areas:
- analysis of publication activity of researchers and PhD students;
- identification of journal quartiles, citation indexes, and research visibility indicators;
- selection of appropriate journals for publishing research results;
- compliance with principles of academic integrity.
Data Stewardship and Research Data Management
The Library performs data steward functions, providing support at all stages of the research data lifecycle:
- consultations on Research Data Management (RDM);
- assistance in preparing Data Management Plans (DMPs);
- recommendations on data storage and open access to research data;
- support with metadata creation and data description standards.
Subject Librarian Services
PhD students, doctoral candidates, and researchers may benefit from the support of a subject librarian, including:
- subject-specific support in the field of climate-smart agriculture;
- assistance in developing effective search strategies;
- consultations on relevant information resources and current research trends.
Webinars, Training, and Consultations
The Library regularly organizes for PhD students, doctoral candidates, and researchers:
- webinars and training sessions on academic writing;
- educational events focused on metadata, open science, open access, and copyright;
- individual consultations on publication preparation, reference formatting, and the use of bibliographic management tools.
Individual Research Support
The Library supports PhD students throughout all stages of dissertation research — from literature search to the publication of research results in international scholarly journals.
